TCM Consultation & Chinese Herbal Medicine

Traditional Chinese Medicine consultation takes a whole-person approach to assessment. Your practitioner will review your symptoms and health history and, when appropriate, use TCM diagnostic methods such as tongue and pulse assessment.

When Chinese herbal medicine is appropriate, an individualized herbal prescription may be recommended based on your TCM assessment and health needs. The prescription may be adjusted during follow-up visits according to changes in your condition.

TCM consultation and herbal medicine may be used for a range of health concerns, including internal medicine, women’s health, dermatological concerns, and other conditions appropriate for TCM care.

Your first visit begins with a detailed review of your symptoms, medical history, current medications, and overall health. Tongue and pulse assessment may also be performed when appropriate.

After the assessment, your practitioner will explain the TCM findings and recommended treatment approach. If herbal medicine is appropriate, an individualized prescription will be prepared with instructions for use and relevant precautions.

During follow-up visits, your progress will be reviewed and the herbal prescription may be adjusted according to changes in your symptoms and overall condition.
