1. General information only
The content on this website, including treatment pages, clinical area pages and Health Resources articles, is for general education. It is not a diagnosis, treatment plan or medical advice for your individual situation.
2. Not a substitute for medical care
Traditional Chinese Medicine and acupuncture can be part of your overall care, but they do not replace care from your family doctor or specialists. Please do not stop or change any prescribed medication or treatment without first talking to the doctor who prescribed it.
3. Results vary
Every person is different. We cannot guarantee any particular result, and how you respond to treatment may differ from others.
4. Supportive care
Where we describe supportive care, for example during or after cancer treatment, our services are intended to complement your medical treatment, not replace surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy or other conventional care. Please keep your medical team informed.
5. Before your treatment
Please tell your practitioner about your health conditions, medications and supplements, allergies, whether you are or may be pregnant, and whether you have a bleeding disorder or take blood thinners. Some herbal medicines may interact with other medications.
6. Emergencies
This website is not for emergencies. If you have a medical emergency, call 911.
7. Health Resources articles
Articles are reviewed for accuracy when published but may not reflect the latest research. Always discuss your situation with a qualified health professional.
8. Our practitioners
Treatment at our clinic is provided by Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioners registered with the College of Complementary Health Professionals of BC (CCHPBC).
9. Practitioner–patient relationship
Reading this website or contacting us does not create a practitioner–patient relationship. That relationship begins with your in-person assessment.
10. Language
If there is any inconsistency, the English version prevails.
